Photorejuvenation

Both the pleasures and stresses of life, along with the simple passage of time, tend to cause our skin to appear older. And the signs of aging and sun-damage are typically most visible on a person's face. While numerous treatments from simple creams to major surgeries exist to improve various facial flaws, skin specialists have always sought dramatic improvement with low risk and no downtime. Photorejuvenation is a process which uses intense pulsed light (IPL) and laser to fade or eliminate benign pigmented spots and vascular lesions while diminishing the size of pores, sun damage, and wrinkles in your skin. Consequently, your skin becomes smoother, with a younger appearance.

How does it work?

Unlike laser resurfacing and chemical peels, the beauty of the non-invasive Photorejuvenation is that there is virtually no downtime. Photorejuvenation has minimal discomfort with an absence of scarring, leaving the skin looking younger and healthier immediately. The improvement in the skin quality is more dramatic than what can be accomplished with Microdermabrasion alone. Microdermabrasion is wonderful for surface irregularities, but it cannot eliminate conditions such as redness, flushing, broken capillaries, or promote the formation of new collagen in the dermis.

Photorejuvenation selectively targets abnormal changes that develop with age and successfully improves fine lines, sun-damage, age spots, the symptoms of rosacea, broken veins, enlarged pores, and numerous other facial flaws by causing new cells to form and stimulating the creation of collagen in the dermis. This gives the skin a better texture and the formation of new collagen results in decreased fine lines and the repair of sun damage.
